1) Who can apply to be a MyPicTales affiliate?
Any professional photographer or professional scrapbook/layout artist is eligible to apply.

2) What type of identification do I need to provide when I apply?
We suggest that you provide at least one of the following: website, tax identification number, or business license.

3) What benefits to do professional affiliates receive?
Our professional affiliates are entitled to 35% discount on all purchases. Once your membership is approved, you will receive a discount code by email. We can print your logo on the products if you choose for a nominal fee of $2 per book. You will also receive the same high quality products and excellent customer service that MyPicTales is known for.

4) What type of ink and printer do you use?
We use toner-based ink (liquid ink can run and smudge in humid conditions), full 5-color process, professional printing presses, 300 – 2400 true dpi. This translates to razor sharp details and smooth color transitions. We have developed proprietary print methods where images pop to life because they give the eye a strong perception of depth.

5) What type of paper do you use?
We offer silk or glossy coated 100 lb. text paper for our photo books. This paper is manufactured by wind-generated electricity and is archival quality, which means that it lasts up to 100 years. The paper has good weight and feel to it. It does not kink easily.

6) What type of binding do you offer?
We use archival quality glue, semi-manual process for our glue binding. Glue binding helps in two aspects: Pages lay flatter when opened, and not much detail is wasted into the spine. Two page spreads look stunning. The binding looks professional and pages are bound much tighter unlike cheaper methods of staple binding or stitching used else where.

We also offer an attractive Wire-O binding for a truly flat binding option.

7) Do you use a color sync workflow?
Yes. Our workflow is calibrated to the sRGB setting. Set your profiles to sRGB for the best color match possible.

8) What size photo books do you offer?
We offer standard photographer and scrapbooker size photo books, including 11X 17, 12x12, 10x10, 8.5x11, 8 X 8, 5x7, and 4.25x4.75. All books are available in portrait, landscape or square formats where applicable.

9) Do I have to use your software?
No. If you opt to use your own software instead of ours, you may supply us with a PDF according to our PDF Guidelines.

10) Do you offer full bleed pages?
Yes, we offer full bleed printing on all of our products. Custom full-bleed covers are also available for an additional charge. Be sure to follow our full specifications on bleed.

11) Do you provide proofs for sharing with our customers?
Our software generates a digital proof file that can be shared with your customers (print proofs are available at an additional charge.) To share the proof, you can  use the free online book sharing tool, or save the proof file (which contains a watermark) to your hard drive and email it do them directly. Unless you send the customer the shopping cart sharing link to the book, they cannot order it directly.
